Sk tools wisconsing
That connection to you and what your tools mean to you is what is at the heart of SK Tool Corporation. SK tools represent the finest in American know-how. All sockets and drive tools, ratcheting wrenches and hand tools, are manufactured in the USA with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Feel free to call or email us for price and availability! Toll free tooldesk.
Tools by SK are skillfully crafted industrial and specialty tools. Most SK products are in stock and shipped within 24 hours. Warranty - SK tools unless otherwise specified, are unconditionally guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship.
SK will repair or replace any tool that fails to give satisfactory service, on the condition that the tool has not been abused or modified and that it is returned to SK Hand Tool Corporation.
You can count on SK tool Corporation to stand behind their top quality professional hand tools. SK's SureGrip Hex Design on sockets and wrench box ends drives the side of the fastener, not the corner. This not only provides increased strength, but also avoids the rounding of rusted or damaged fasteners, which can occur when using a sharp cornered hex tool. I do agree they are cheaper than other American tools like snapon. I would suggest only the 6 point sockets!

They made a commitment to keep SK in the US by building a new production facility in Illinois somewhere. I once read that the forging was done in Colorado Springs so I assume they're using the facilities at Western Forge which is also a Ideal subsidiary.
I got my first SK-Wayne socket sets around and they are still first class tools. I have a number of SK tools I have not used since getting them as replacements. In , Facom sold SK to Ideal. I don't know where the new stuff is made or if the old guarantee is still honored because I have not been to the SK dealer for a long time.
I once bought a set of polished Craftsman combination wrenches at Sears and found one wrench had the SK stamp instead of Craftsman. No nothing about this seller, but nice price. Pretty nice tools and the plastic case is taking the abuse I do to it pretty well.
SK is kind of like Wright and Cornwell. A small American tool company that is trying to find it's way in the new global economy. It has to be tough going. They were all junk that even hobbyists didn't want. There weren't any Chinese tools. Now, the tools from those companies are often as good or even better than we can buy from the US. Particularly, I notice that the chrome is usually much better on Taiwan tools than it is from American stuff.
No doubt it has to do with environmental regulations. The other way to make it is with very high quality and an old school service network like Snap-on. I like SK tools. They used to be pretty good quality with a reasonable price. TFPace liked this post. As stated by others, yes. SK-Ideal is headquartered in Sycamore, IL where they manage, engineer, market, manufacture and warehouse. Some a lot? SK-Ideal has retained the intellectual property of the previous SK companies including tool prints going back in inception.
Ideal Industries is a deep-pocketed manufacturer of Ideal tools and materials for electricians. I have no connection with SK-Ideal So if you are only able to buy 1 size socket set, what size would it be? The entire set probably weights about 50lbs, the ratchet probably weights 5 lbs or more and is about 24" long.
There is a lot of stuff that is done better with a smaller drive set.
